Amarantine Deluxe Collector’s Edition (2006)

Rilasciato il 21 novembre del 2006, questa ristampa in edizione limitata contiene l’album Amarantine ed il libro Water Show the Hidden Heart di Roma Ryan; pubblicato dapprima singolarmente nel 2005 (accompagnato da una breve prefazione di Enya) e poi assieme a questa riedizione dell’album, il libro – costituito da 148 pagine – include una spiegazione del Loxian, la lingua inventata da Roma e utilizzata in tre canzoni contenute in Amarantine (Less Than a Pearl, The River Sings, Water Shows the Hidden Heart). Nel cofanetto sono inoltre inserite tre foto esclusive di Enya scattate da Simon Fowler nel 2005 all'interno della Knebwort House, residenza di campagna tardo gotica (fine XV secolo) situata nella contea di Hertfordshire a circa 50 Km a Nord di Londra.

Poiché la tracklist dell’album non ha subito modifiche rispetto alla prima pubblicazione del 2005 si consiglia di consultare il post relativo che trovate qui.

Best of (2005)

In un semplice involucro di plastica sono contenuti la raccolta Paint the Sky with Stars (1997) ed i singoli Only Time (2000), Wild Child (2001) e May It Be (2002). Questa sorta di collezione è stata rilasciata nel Regno Unito.

NOTE Sulla fronte dell’involucro è presente uno sticker sul quale sono riportati il titolo della collezione (Best of) e i CD facenti parte. Le edizioni dei singoli di Only Time e Wild Child inclusi sono quelle tedesche (si vedano a tal proposito i posts Only Time (2000) scheda n°1 e Wild Child (2001) scheda n°1), mentre per May It Be è quella inglese (si veda a tal proposito il post di May It Be (2002) scheda n°3).

Only Time – The Collection (2002)

Il presente box, pubblicato in edizione limitata in soli 200.000 pezzi, è stato rilasciato nel novembre del 2002. E’ una raccolta – composta da quattro CD – contenente una selezione di 50 brani scelti personalmente da Enya, Nicky Ryan e Roma Ryan a partire dall’album Enya (1987)/The Celts (1992) fino al singolo May It Be (2002). Il quarto disco è un CD-rom che inserito all’interno di un lettore per computer permette di accedere a contenuti extra quali uno screensaver, una galleria interattiva contenente alcune immagini tratte dal booklet ed il video di Oíche Chiúin (Silent Night); questa performance fu girata all'interno della Christ Church Cathedral di Dublino e trasmessa dall'emittente televisiva BBC il 26 dicembre del 1996 nel programma Christmas Day in the Morning sul canale BBC1. Il booklet è composto da 48 pagine dove le foto di Enya – scattate da Simon Fowler presso la Syon House (residenza londinese del XV secolo) – si alternano ad alcuni testi delle canzoni (e loro spiegazione) e alle note di Roma.

A Box of Dreams (1997)

Pubblicato in concomitanza dell’uscita della prima raccolta intitolata  Paint the Sky with Stars, questo elegante cofanetto a forma di libro – a tiratura limitata – include tre CD suddivisi in tre differenti tematiche: Oceans, Clouds e Stars. I brani scelti sono 46 e sono stati selezionati dagli albums Enya (1987) (ripubblicato inseguito con il titolo The Celts (1992)), Watermark (1988), Shepherd Moons (1991), The Memory of Trees (1995) e Paint the Sky with Stars. Tra i 46 brani vi sono anche quattro b-sides – Oriel Window, Willows on the Water, Morning Glory e Eclipse – fino a quel momento apparsi solo nei singoli (si veda la tracklist). Lo splendido booklet, graficamente e stilisticamente simile a quello di Paint the Sky with Stars, presenta alcuni componimenti poetici di Roma Ryan ed il testo di Na Laetha Geal M'Óige (scritta dalla stessa Roma e riadattata in gaelico da Enya). I CD dell’edizione tedesca hanno un unico numero di catalogo che è lo stesso riportato sul box (WEA – 3984-21333-2). Quella giapponese contiene un booklet aggiuntivo con tutti i testi delle canzoni e la loro traduzione in giapponese, ma ogni CD ha un suo numero identificativo (WEA – WPCR 1802/3/4) oltre ad uno sticker sulla confezione esterna del box. La prima delle due edizioni destinate al mercato taiwanese nel 1998 vedrà invece la vendita singola dei tre CD aventi ognuno un booklet aggiuntivo contenente i testi delle canzoni (WEA – 4718253-00025/6/7). Un’ulteriore edizione per questo paese (WEA – 3984-21333-2, lo stesso numero di catalogo di quella tedesca), è quella con il box avente uno sticker (come nell'edizione giapponese); alcune copie sono state vendute senza lo sticker ma con un Video-CD aggiuntivo (Love Potion No. 9). Sia l’edizione giapponese che le due taiwanesi sono state prodotte in Germania.

Distribuita solo in Giappone, questa collezione contiene gli albums The Celts (1992), Watermark (1988) e Shepherd Moons (1991). Gli albums sono contenuti in un box (vedi foto a lato) e accompagnati da un booklet in cui è presente una biografia della carriera di Enya, la sua discografia e varie foto. Il box è stato riedito nel 2001 – nuovamente solo in Giappone e in tiratura limitata – aggiungendo al titolo originale la dicitura New Version (vedi foto in basso a sinistra). In entrambi i casi alle prime versioni senza obi-strip sono seguite quelle recanti l’obi-strip. Di seguito troverete alcune info aggiuntive sulle due versioni.
